Overview of job
As the Digital Amplification & Trading Manager, you are central part of Bankwest team. You will be involved in the whole process, from strategy through to post analysis – taking the role of leading this process, both with clients and internally.

 

You will lead the planning of the digital media experience, along with the Digital A&T Director and oversee the execution of the paid digital media. Whilst a focus will be specific to digital channels, you will also be working closely with the wider A&T team, responsible for delivering the best in market amplification presentations and negotiations that drive the client’s budget hard across all channels.

 

The Ikon team is tailored to the Bankwest marketing team structure and your involvement is seen as a critical part of their evolving communications approach. This role will provide exposure to many parts of the Ikon’s full service offering, including Creative Services, content strategy, social media and Data lead solutions (e.g. attribution and measurement). Ikon encourages integration of all these services and this role is central to providing integrated solution to Bankwest that add value and deliver results.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Digital A&T Director.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Create planning documents that deliver on strategy via clear digital media recommendations
  • Overseeing effective and accurate optimisation and delivery of campaigns and communicating these to clients weekly

In six months:

  • Develop strong relationships with clients, creative and media partners as well as internal stakeholders to ensure integration flows between all partners.
  • Work with Digital A&T Executive to develop detailed digital media recommendations ensuring accurate planning and traded costs

In twelve months:

  • Be an expert in digital channels and share expertise with clients, internal team and wider agency.
  • Lead and direct all team members to support in the development of media concepts, plans and implementation of buys specific to your patch.
  • Recognise opportunities to add value to existing processes and pitch new solutions to Bankwest marketing team

 

Responsibilities of the role:

The Digital A&T Manager will be responsible for owning the overall briefing process – from brief, to media recommendation, ongoing weekly optimisations to post campaign wrap up.

 

You will be the lead for specific segments within the Bankwest portfolio that covers a mix of Brand & Sponsorships, Consideration and Acquisition style campaigns. Working collaboratively with internal teams at Ikon as well as establishing strong media publisher relationships, you will need to develop and pitch recommendations that delivers on client objectives and manage ongoing optimisation opportunities alongside the Digital A&T Executive.

 

In your role, you will plan and trade across a breadth of digital tactics using Ikon benchmarking tools and systems, and develop a broad interest and knowledge of digital media. You will be required to share and upskill the internal team with this knowledge and also be tasked to manage and develop the Digital A&T Executive. Together you will act as a team and you will be responsible for managing the overall output specific to your patch.

 

What you will need:

  • Minimum 4 years agency experiences, with a minimum 3 years as digital media buyer/planner (Preference for a degree in Marketing, Advertising or Communications)
  • Solid understanding of Australian media landscape, with a focus on digital trends and publishers
  • Well rounded digital exposure with Performance experience preferred including Programmatic, Social and Affiliate marketing
  • Willingness and passion to get involved and own the end to end process
