Position at GroupM

As the research manager, you will need to understand the business needs of internal stakeholder and solve their problem using both internal and external data. In this role, you will need to work independently with minimum supervision. You will also need to be highly analytic and able to translate data into business insights by writing reports and whitepapers. 

Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Associate Director.

Measures of success –

In three months, you would have:

  • Mastered basic knowledge of running a huge project
  • Started to take up routine project management

In six months, you would have:

  • Finished at least 10 category reports under guidance of supervisor
  • Assist senior member in the team on a whitepaper writing

In 12 months, you would have:

  • Good communication relationship with internal stakeholders as well as major vendors
  • Mastered and integrated multi-data sources in report writing and deliverables

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Presents research results, translates statistical data into recommendations for internal stakeholders
  • A core part of the role in designing and implementing consumer research projects and playing an active role in providing robust data and information
  • Maximise the effective use of internal and external information resources and tools and managing 3rd party consumer research
  • Analysis/Report/Whitepaper writing

What this role will need:

  • University undergraduate or above
  • 4-6 years on research, analytic, consultancy, client or agency experience, with solid experience and expertise in consumer insight/market research 
  • Having media knowledge is a plus
  • Master of SPSS is preferred
  • Programming skill is desired
  • Detail oriented, able to find story in the numbers
  • Good communications skills in English and Chinese (both oral and writing)
  • Outstanding written and presentation skill
  • Good team player
  • Can work under pressure
