Join GroupM China's most awarded agency - Maxus! We are seeking an experienced Media Planning Director success in delivering media strategies and business solutions on one of Maxus’ biggest and digitally forward accounts. This is a senior role requiring 7+ years of relevant experience.

Reporting of the role

This role reports to Business Director, Maxus Shanghai.

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Developed a strong understanding of the clients business and structures.
  • Begun to influence the plans and approaches for the coming year.

 In six months:

  • Been able to identify areas of improvement to deliver better service and work to the client from across the agency.
  • Trained and mentored executives in your team
  • Been a true leader of your team and gain their trust and respect.

In 12 months:

  • Managed all annual review/planning proposal for this client, coordinating the full agency resource to deliver.
  • Been managing the team on an independent basis.

 Responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead the digital relationship with the client from a planning and implementation perspective
  • Develop, plan and present the long term digital vision for the client
  • Campaign strategy & planning, and integration with the wider comms
  • Oversee & benchmark buying performance 
  • Oversee the delivery of team’s day to day tasks
  • Assist in training & up-skilling of client account teams
  • Deployment of measurement frameworks across clients
  • Management, extraction & interpretation of clients’ digital performance data
  • Delivery of beyond-the-banner high value services, including: digital workshops; content solutions; performance marketing; social & mobile projects; competitor intelligence services

 What you will need:

  • 7+ years of media planning experience, with strategic planning experience. 
  • Familiar with the key digital media owners or vendors in China
  • With the ability to see growth potential within existing accounts such as targeting emerging media trends and tactics to create innovative media programs for the client.
  • An independent, self-driven individual with highly responsible nature.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization, managing complexity and challenges.
  • Used to lead a team with 3+ staffs.
  • Energetic, think differently, clear about career objective.
  • Of course, you'll need to be fluent in both Mandarin and English.
