GroupM | Ad-Ops Manager
Description
As an Ad-ops manager you will be responsible for the implementation of online advertising campaigns and one or two Executive/Junior Admanager. Your main tasks will be to check ads and formats, implement them into adserving-systems and link them with booked media placements. You will be also have the task, to guide Executive Member of your team.

Measures of success –
In three months:
- a good overview about tracking opportunities for online media business
- initial practical experience in dealing with adservers
- First experiences to guide the Executive team members.
In six months:
- a good basis to work independent with adserving systems
- the knowledge to help our agencies by defining measurable online campaign KPIs.
- First experiences to solve problems around ad tracking issues
In 12 months:
- a professional basis to learn more about enhanced tracking technolgies
- the expertise to train and onboard other new admanager
- consulting skills to help your executive members and our agencies by defining the right tracking architecture
Responsibilities of the role:
- You are responsible for the correct implementation of allocated campaigns.
- You have to manage the correct communication between the media agencies, creative agencies and the publisher or DSP vendors.
- You are also responsible to guide, help and support the executive members by consulting and implementing difficult campaign trackings.
- Help internal and external audiences understand ad technology, it applications and increasing overlap with marketing technology. Translate the business requirements and implications.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, both in your team and across the agency.
What you will need:
- Likely 3-7 years’ experience in digital ad operations. Media agency experience strongly preferred.
- Confident working independently as well as in a team; line management experience preferred
- Able to understand complex data projects involving multiple stakeholders, taking a methodical approach to issue resolution
- Able to assimilate technical concepts quickly, with a strong aptitude for learning new technologies
- A consultative approach; helping the ad operations team, as well as others, to learn
- Organised and detail-focused, process oriented approach
- Ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines, prioritising accordingly
