Maxus is looking for a highly motivated Software Engineer to play an integral part in developing advanced data analytics products for our internal and client users.

The data and analytics group is responsible for managing and analyzing massive amounts of data as well as supporting the whole organization in delivering value from data.

This is a high-impact position where you, working with our data scientists and data warehouse specialists, will bring to reality our big data/advanced data modeling outputs by building interactive attribution and modeling tools used in media planning activities.

In 3 months:

  • Got the full exposure of BIG data that needs to structured
  • Taken ownership of the development roadmap of our in-house built tools, including our flagship data analytics platform “MESH”
  • Developed a working process for addressing and implementing user feedback and enhancements to the product(s)

 

In 6 months:

  • Delivered at least 2 advanced media simulation or attribution projects
  • Built data warehouse for one of the most critical product launch

 

In 12 months:

  • Identified areas of more integration with businesses
  • Delivered more multi market projects
  • Gained more experience on BIG (marketing) data from new age mediums.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with internal and external customers to define data requirements to support new reporting and analytics features
  • Design solutions that can support massive (billions of rows) scalability requirements and deliver performance and reliability
  • Implement, test, and maintain logical and physical models for reporting and analytical databases
  • Tune reports, loaders, table design, indexes, and stored procedures to deliver required performance
  • Define and execute a plan for measuring and maintaining data integrity throughout the workflow
  • Work with a cross-functional team including UI, middleware, and Learning System.
  • Support the existing production environment for reporting database.

    Requirements

    • Degree or above in Computer Science, Software Development or related fields
    • Minimum 5 years working experience in web-based system design & development
    • Proven track record of designing/architecting web applications and managing the development from design to deployment
    • Strong knowledge of
      • PHP and PHP MVC frameworks
      • ASP.NET
      • Javascript
      • HTML, XHTML, and CSS
      • AJAX, XML and JSON data formats
      • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Familiarity in Ruby on Rails is a plus but not required
    • Linux server management
    • Familiarity of Microsoft Azure services is a plus
    • You’re organized, details-oriented, and not afraid to ask questions to clarify requirements.
    • And a quality-focused individual who makes it a habit to test his/her work before moving on.
    • Able to work as part of a team (team contributor)
    • Very strong understanding of Data Warehousing & Data
