Head of Planning
Description
You will steward the internal operations and ensure that clients’ campaigns are brought to life through cross-function collaboration and provide sound products and solutions. You will also directly manage the brand’s agency teams and media partners by driving work streams for the campaign planning and deployment.

This role reports to the Managing Director.

Measures of success –
In three months:
- Demonstrate understanding of delivering an excellent service for clients which aims to exceed clients’ expectations.
In six months:
- Have formed trust between your team and your clients in terms of consulting and identifying opportunities to promote and sell HOM services to client.
In 12 months:
- Be the go-to person for your client when it comes to operational management of communications planning.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Position MEC as a principle communication partner of the client.
- Overall strategic media approach on the key clients to meet Client’s business objectives and strategies.
- Support MEC regional management and GroupM Vietnam management to identify key growth opportunities and investment prospects which can further drive strategic offerings of MEC in Vietnam, and develop the core and digital skill sets in particular at MEC Vietnam. This includes agreeing with GroupM what services may need to be centralized and which ones are to be retained / developed in MEC.
- Ensure that the MEC team members in Vietnam are fully briefed on Client’s required Scope of Work and ensuring the delivery of the Scope of Work to the client in accordance with timeframes, quality control and budget objectives.
- Building key stakeholder relationships including creative advertising agencies, GroupM management, client and other marketing partners to ensure alignment of media objectives and strategies.
What you will need:
- Passionate and optimistic individuals who enjoy interaction with people.
- Good at managing and motivating employees, clients and suppliers.
- Possess good verbal and written communication skills as well as strong selling skills.
- Strong project management skill; ability to manage multiple projects across critical yet often fluctuating deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with consideration to company/client objectives.
- Proficient in both Vietnamese and English.
- At least 4-6 years of experiences in media planning or communication planning.
- Branding experience or digital experience is a plus.
