Are you a progressive and creative media practitioner, driven by media excellence? Do you enjoy working within a dynamic and passionate team? We are looking for an experienced media planning & buying specialist who is passionate about media.
Reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for taking client media briefs and providing sound implementation planning across all media channels.
Closely involved with the client, you will enjoy building your skills in leading the day to day client relationship of heritage leader brands as well as mentoring a team of executives and assistants.

Measures of success –
In three months:
- Built a trusted and influential relationship with the client media team

- A thorough understanding of the Mindshare specialist business units and forged a collaborative relationship with the relevant team members

- Delivered thought leadership in implementation planning

Responsibilities of the role:
- Overall responsibility for the deployment of plans across all channels, optimisation of investment across channels and flighting strategies to optimise investment effectiveness
- Ensure plans are executed in line with the communication strategy through media channels
- Utilise all relevant media industry tools to provide media implementation recommendations
- Develop and update planning CPT’s, creation of reach and frequency curves, quality control of all campaigns sent to media – programming, R&F, delivery, TARPs, CPMs etc.
- Maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders
- Maintain strong relationships with mid- senior media vendors
- Collaborate with specialist divisions within the agency
- Coach and mentor junior team members in the agency
- Stay updated on industry trends
What you will need:
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced media and communication channel knowledge
- Superior presentation skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritise work
- Experience in managing people effectively (proven people skills, gives constructive feedback, ability to motivate and inspire)
- Solid understanding of the Australian media marketplace
- Proficient user of all Australian Media Tools (Roy Morgan, ETAM, ERAM, BMD, Curvature et al.)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Experienced and excellent client service skills (active listening, outcome focused, expectation management, project management)
- Proven experience in planning and buying media across all channels
