Overview of job

We are looking for a proactive digital manager with a planning / account service background who is looking for their next challenge and can help a large FMCG client strategically navigate the rapidly evolving dynamic digital landscape in Malaysia.

You will support the Singapore / Malaysia Digital Director and develop strong relationships with clients and agency partners, ensuring insights are translated into actionable digital strategies to ultimately deliver against the business objectives for one or more assigned accounts.


Reporting of the role

This role reports to Digital Director.

Measures of success – 
In three months: 
  • On boarded with all your assigned clients and identified what the focus areas are going to be for the next 6 – 12 months.
  • Completed all the tools training to ensure you can help guide the team, especially in terms of a point of view on budget sufficiency, integrated screen planning, social and mobile strategies.
  • Responded to your first brief and presented these recommendations to the client.
In six months:
  • Met all the key vendors (Global & Local) and started providing proactive solutions to clients.
  • Provided a point of view on how we can improved our processes from planning to implementation to post campaign reviews.
In 12 months:
  • Developed a point of view on content distribution strategies and what assets we need to develop, edit and seed to get traction with our target audiences.
  • Initiated insight gathering initiatives to strengthen our recommendations e.g GWI updates, Facebook updates, new research from mobile vendors etc.
  • Set up monitoring and provided recommendations if we are over or under our annual KPIs.

Responsibilities of the role:
  • Ensure the seamless integration of the digital plans with the overall planning recommendation;
  • Provide a clear measurement plan, especially in terms of our test and learn opportunity so there is a clear roadmap of how we will scale up the opportunity if successful;
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, agency partners and vendors;
  • Help to develop local business through existing clients and potential new opportunities, including the sell in of new ideas and services to clients.

What you will need:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a media agency / client servicing role;
  • Strong written and spoken English;
  • Proactive ‘can do’ attitude;
  • Demonstrate ability to sell in ideas to key stakeholders;
  • Strong organizational and numeracy skills;
  • Passionate about identifying new technologies / format opportunities.
