Planning Manager
Description
The Media Planner is responsible for executing all day-to-day media planning and client service activities associated with assigned accounts.
You will provide media planning recommendations and offers resourceful problem-solving, both internally and externally, while maintaining successful client relationships. You will prepare media plans and other deliverables, and executes media plan implementation.
Reporting of the role
This role reports to the Planning Associate Director

Measures of success –
In three months:
- Develop strategically solid media recommendations with supporting rationale
- Develop and execute media plans
- Manage buy stewardship, analyse campaigns, and recommend tactical changes to maximize campaign performance
In six months, you would have:
- Assist in analysis of research to develop strategies and tactics
- Respond to competitive requests
In 12 months:
- Work in a matrix system of Stakeholders – Local agency team, Regional Agency Team, Local and Regional Client team
- Manage day-to-day plan changes and maintenance of media plans
- Research and compile competitive data
- Oversee and train junior staff to develop core competencies
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Responsibilities of the role:
- Proactive approach to collecting information on brands, products, marketplace and trends; takes time to learn the processes and procedures to ensure set tasks are accomplished within given timeframes
- Consults others for ideas, advice and direction when unsure of the desired outcome(s)
- Gives input when developing new ideas to be used where relevant by the wider team

What you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 4+ years related experience
- Able to communicate ideas effectively in English & Bahasa
- Able to read, write and speak in English effectively
- Ability to work in a team environment that promotes collaboration
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Ability to work successfully within a team as well as independently
- Establish and maintain effective relationships interdepartmentally as well as with those outside the team
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural team environment
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Solid understanding of mathematical concepts
- Strong understanding of Arianna, Fusion, Clear Decision, Radio Advisor, Asteroid
- Knowledge of all aspects of Communications, Traditional & Digital Media, including Search, SEO, SMM, Mobile etc.
- Basic understanding of the principles of marketing and advertising, as well as an understanding of media concepts and terms, creative and budget requirements
- Detail-oriented with exceptional critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task, work successfully with teams, and work under pressure
- Strong communication, project management and time management skills
- Advanced Excel skills, intermediate PowerPoint and Microsoft Word skills
