Reporting of the role

This role reports to the Head of Digital, China.

  • Lead the fastest growing business unit of "Play" (IMC) within Maxus with more than 12 people.
  • Serve great multinational and local clients and take lead on strategies development. 
  • Great exposure to work with media planning teams and integrate with content/search/social/EC/mobile as total solution for clients. 

Measures of success –

In three months:

  • Build relationships across both internal and external stakeholders who will ultimately enable you to excel in your role.
  • Demonstrate understanding of delivering an excellent service for clients which aims to exceed clients’ expectations.
  • Gain the trust of your team and the client leads.

In six months:

  • Identify and create opportunities to grow profitable revenue, and structure the team to deliver profitable business in the short/medium and long term stages.
  • Build trust with key clients and be able to influence through the engagement process and actively listen to them, and respond to their queries and concerns.
  • For the long-term team development responsibilities, you need to coach and assess each individual's strengths and improving areas for development by giving constructive feedback.
  • Provide clear thought leadership in interactive marketing and drive digital integration into execution plans. 

In 12 months:

  • Generate more profit by new business and by operational excellence.
  • Integrate the team and services successfully in the overall planning product
  • Lead a team with creativity and innovation, aggressively win and reward cases thought big ideas.

 

Responsibilities of the role:

  • Lead overall communication planning, implementation planning process to provide insightful communication plans.
  • Rise the innovation bar to be recognized as one of most creative agencies.
  • Build and accelerate digital skills/capabilities of the team, process, and system.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies. Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
  • Involve and assist in assigned pitches or/and large project.
  • Leverage and analyze "Big data" from social listening, web/campaign tracking, competitive monitoring, media and other partners to explore deep-insights of consumers, to inform market strategy. In short, make strong data-driven recommendation to help propel business forward.
  • Set team vision and mission to be in line with company positioning.
  • Manage the team day-to-day acting as a mentor to junior employees.
  • Conduct annual and interim appraisals of team members by given constructive feedback and share career advice. 

What you will need:

  • Possess at least 12 to 15-year experience from either marketing or 4A advertising industries include corporate marketing, brand strategies, marketing consultancy, and creative/media agencies etc.
  • Be able to build good rapport with clients, and identify/develop business opportunities to achieve P&L goals.
  • Carry good leadership skills, has strong willingness to support and develop of team.
  • Has good presentation skills to influence senior management both internal and external.
  • Must has good English communication capabilities.
