Overview of job:
MEC is looking for an experienced media professional to lead integrated media solutions for its clients and manage resources from a strategic planning, implementation and a business results standpoint. The job entails a wide array of skills such as strategic understanding of the business spread between urban and rural audiences, understanding media nuances, driving innovative approaches to business solutions. The role will need to marry an understanding of consumers and how they respond to various communication inputs and touchpoints. Measures of success – Short term goals to be achieved will be to gain client confidence and deliver on Revenue goals.
In three months:
- You would have presented brand and plan strategies to all the clients handled
- And understood the MEC way of working and are able to navigate through the verticals
In six months:
- Won client confidence
- Initiated and delivered at least 2 key projects
In 12 months:
- Understood the group’s vision of ‘New Me’ and its implication on business
- Worked on award entries, which GroupM leads our industry
Responsibilities of the role:
- Provide strategy planning leadership on your set of businesses in various product categories for the client
- Oversee the team in development of the strategy and writing of media plans for the client’s marketing objectives
- Act as a senior level contact for the client and have a strong understanding of cross channel media strategy
- Inspire the client with sound media knowledge and ideas and become their trusted media advisor
- Liaise between MEC and the client leveraging all our learning and capabilities to deliver integrated solutions to clients ensuring excellent customer service and client satisfaction
- Develop creative media ideas for the client aligned with their business, customer and brand goals
- Perform market research activities to pursue new clientele opportunities for the company
- Help business meet its sales & revenue targets
- Must demonstrate the value of ‘New Me’
- Team management from a development and delivering on client objectives KPI
- Responsible for oversight of budgets, including staffing and resource requirements
What you will need:
- Experience in managing client relationships
- Highly passionate, collaborative, outgoing, creative media leader and thinker
- Agility
- Stakeholder management
- Business acumen
- Acute inquisitiveness and understanding of an entrepreneur’s mindset
- Ability to understand mediums beyond ATL
- Excellent communication/presentation/client management skills
- Deep understanding of all media, especially Digital
