Description

The Accounts Receivable Assistant provides business critical insight and supports the accounting department by receiving, coding and processing invoices. The successful person will be responsible for the timely recording of cash receipts into CastleÍs accounting system. This would involve working with the vendor and the account department to properly allocate the payments and adjustments.

 

The Accounts Receivable Assistant will be based out of the corporate office in Oak Brook, IL and will report to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor in Oak Brook.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for treasury transaction. Arrange all bank and cash transactions according to related procedure and authorization
  • Review the payment application. Perform the finance check per company policy
  • Maintain the account receivable master file
  • Follow up the customer invoices, overdue AR withdraw. Remind sales and customers based on the invoice due date
  • Perform the monthly receivable reconciliation
  • Filing relevant vouchers, records and all financial reports
  • Assist to prepare various monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports requested by company
  • Contribute in preparing monthly prepaid expense, accruals, fixed assets, depreciation, foreign currency exchange gain and losses, overhead allocation schedules
  • Assist to make declaration to foreign currency bureau
  • Other tasks assigned by the finance manager

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma required
  • College degree in related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of work experience
  • Good communication skills and willing to work under pressure
  • Self-motivated individual who is able to work independently
  • Well rounded understanding of the A/R process.
  • Capable of meeting daily deadlines with little supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Strong attention to detail
