Job Description:
- Troubleshoots mechanical or electrical extrusion equipment issues and provides technical leadership and training to resolve same.
- Develops, writes, implements and/or submits various technical reports or CARs in support of cost reduction, new product, reliability and safety initiatives.
- Typically has technical responsibility for a large and/or complex department.
- Manage small to medium capital projects and assist with development of budget. Manufacturing - Plans and designs manufacturing processes in an industrial plant.
- Provides support in the design, fabrication, modification and evaluation in support of manufacturing operations such as machining, metal forming, plastics processing, packaging, welding and brazing, assembly, and material handling.
- Conducts time and cost estimates. This is the experienced journey level, working on moderately complex and non-routine assignments.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS degree preferred, in Engineering, with at least 4+ years of applicable experience preferred.
- Experience with extrusion and thermoforming plastics manufacturing preferred.
- Solid communications skills, both written and verbal, required
- Demonstrated application of complex concepts, practices and procedures within particular engineering field
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
